Frivolous vitriol and a lot of frothing at the mouth about things I love! And about people I wish would fall down a lot of stairs.
The adorable song I needed for today - sending love to Minnesota twenty-sixty times.

If I were running this account, I might’ve run a check first to see how many AFL-CIO–affiliated police bargaining units have existing contracts to work for ICE. I count at least four.
The horrific stories of the Trump admin’s militarized immigration enforcement are every parent’s worst nightmare.

ICE must immediately stop these dangerous operations and leave our communities and workplaces.

Jack Smith: “If we do not hold the most powerful people in our society to the same standards… if we don’t hold people to account when they commit crimes, it sends a message that those crimes are okay.”

Trump was let off the hook for Jan 6. That is destructive for our democracy.

Fun fact: when bluesky was invite-only, we got our invite from AOC
AOC: An agency that is attacking U.S. citizens, kidnapping five-year-olds and using them as bait, and privately circulating the idea that they can violate the rights of Americans by busting down their doors—they deserve to be defunded, and I’ll take any step in that direction.

Republicans didn’t attack Jack Smith’s facts of the case today. They didn’t try and say Trump didn’t attempt to overturn the election.

Why? Because they know exactly what he did and what crimes he committed. But to please their cult leader, they spent their time deflecting.

Kids often get nosebleeds that won’t stop, if somebody is having that issue: ice on the back of the neck, lie down & use two sprays of Afrin in each nostril, wait 10 minutes, spray again. Usually that stops the nosebleed if it doesn’t, then you have to go to the hospital.
The parents of a 7 year old, all of whom are in the process of applying for asylum, took their daughter to the ER when her nose wouldn't stop bleeding. ICE picked them up near the hospital and they are now in detention in Texas, presumably awaiting deportation. www.oregonlive.com/portland/202...

They’re collecting information about immigration status, citizenship, sexual orientation, whether you’re trans or non binary and physical or mental disabilities.

This is the scene in downtown Minneapolis this afternoon, where thousands of people have braved -25F wind chills to protest ICE operations in Minnesota.

I have now seen multiple groups who have taken it upon themselves/their social groups to re-create the historical signs that the federal gov't took down in Philly yesterday.

The best way to get people to spread a message (especially in this anti-authority, fuck-you town), is to try to censor it.
