As a history nerd my mind immediately goes to forced marches. Armies on foot can move very fast if they need to, as long as “being able to fight when they arrive” isn’t an issue, but if it’s done for too long, people start dying.
There is no better summary of this administration than him demolishing the White House
Oh no I crowed about how much smaller my painting backlog was compared to everyone else in my Warhammer club and then some wargames Atlantic imperial guard proxies I kickstarted two years ago showed up to punish me for my hubris
The French were right about a great many things and no-one ever recognizes it because they were wrong about exactly enough that they lost the war in a month.
not sure if it counts as a horror movie but Bodies Bodies Bodies is a really fun slasher movie.
Anyway I guess what I’m saying is slashers still know how to have fun

There is no system where keeping bad people out of power is not important. You can create systems with rules against abusing power. But we already have one of those. The problem is that the people in charge selectively enforce them if at all, which is why you don't want bad people in charge.
Sometimes I think about the fact that the lore of the bionicle franchise turned out to be that all the cool toy hero guys were maggots writhing in the corpse of god

also, what an image. the president demolishing a portion of a humble people’s house to make room for his royalist monstrosity
The biggest evidence of the hobbit movie’s failure: when I read Lotor, I have a hard time imagining characters looking different than they do in the movies, even with ones like Saruman or Denathor who should be very different from their movie portrayals

With the hobbit, I don’t have that problem.

Under Over Over - West Hampstead

So it's taken a while, but I've finally found a location where you can clearly see London Underground trains traveling over London Overground trains.

The vantage point is at West Hampstead Overground station at the end of the platform.

Incidentally exactly what about the post 2009 period makes people think that AKSHALLY we could have gotten more left wing healthcare at some later date

To be fair these ones are cooler than the AoS ones
But yes it’s so fucking stupid I hate it
Let me use my skaven in old world! Free the rats!
New Warhammer Vikings look cool
That doesn’t mean you don’t deserve hugs
That museum exhibit is an important part of keeping the pharaoh in the afterlife tho. As long as they are still known, they will live on.
(On a more serious note, I very much get what you mean. It feels quite disrespectful. At least let king tut keep his mask as opposed to stripping him naked.)

we are going to need somewhere to export the Trump administration to, because we cannot be trusted to permanently incapacitate the Republican Party ourselves. the Hague is a good enough place.
there are some defensible reasons the US is not a member of the ICC (there are far more indefensible reasons), but i think the trump administration probably vaporizes the defensible reasons
I am aware of the hurdles here but I think at least some portion of them are gonna have to get sent to the ICC. The response has to be unlike anything we have ever done
