The "cat ears or human ears" thing only exists because catgirl ears are too small. A cat's ear canals are in about the same place as a human's; their ears are just comparatively enormous, which lets them stick up in spite of ending at the same spot. The real solution is to give catgirls bigger ears.

All of this. Be extremely wary of those words. They’re part of the reason I withdrew a story from a dream market this year.
If you see the words 'irrevocable', 'in perpetuity', 'formats not yet invented', 'net after costs', 'all rights', you're selling every damn thing you could make money from as an author for a one time payment, or in this case, a promise.

also if you ever want the true editing experience? the other day i went over a final draft of a book that saw a professional editor back when it was first published. even in that, i was STILL finding typos

yes i go straight from writing my fanfics to posting them with minimal editing or pre-planning no i don't have beta readers
yes i still somehow wind up with better quality writing than some of the fanfic authors in my fandoms
(not the ones i'm friends with tho, y'all are hard to match)
