If I just showed you these two pitch mixes, which would you believe would be most effective long-term in #MLB?
One is Sproat, the other is Peralta.

I always thought the #Mets would trade Jett with Lindor there & Jett’s size - I like this more for Milwaukee…if they get Sproat a reliable breaking ball, jackpot time for the #Brewers! #MLB #ThisIsMyCrew

DHS is literally breaking the law and engaging in grossly unconstitutional behavior. None of what they are doing is law and order. The Democrats are allowing MAGA to redefine norms and then reacting to that.
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

Jeffries Won’t Whip Vote Against ICE Funding - The American Prospect
While the House Democratic leader announced personal opposition to a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, he won’t pressure his colleagues to do the same.

Random baseball memory that came back to me today: UMaine playing an exhibition game against the Triple A Guides in, I think, ‘85. Pros won, 4-2. Best player on the field was Maine SS Mike Bordick. Dale Plummer, a great dude from my hometown, pitched for Maine. Good times.

Folks outside of MN: if you've got friends in Minnesota, they could probably use a pep talk or a cute pet picture or I don't know, something nice. This has sucked for awhile, but today has been especially brutal.

right now the floor for me is abolish ICE and put every agent on trial and the average elected democrat is like what if we told them to cut it out

Call your reps. Let them know that if they vote for ICE funding, you will not vote for them ever again.

Representatives need to feel the heat. NO on ICE funding. No excuses.
So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

Shrinkflation is real. But while I’ve seen tons of videos on how tiny servings have become in fast food places, not one of them has said “I’m not setting foot in there ever again”

I’m tired of being talked down to by people like this. They are doing the Elon Musk Mars In 2 Years bit but have tied the entire U.S. economy to a bespoke compliment generator. It’s time to start talking about these AI mutants like delusional babies.

Chris Clark went from the Angels to the Rays in the Lowe/Lux/Burke three-team deal.

All six Crimson players drafted since 2023 have been pitchers, and now one-third are on new teams in 2026.

I think people underestimate how big this is. Like a city-wide strike is not something that has happened in the US for nearly 100 years

On top of “of course #MLB owners want a salary cap,” the talk I’ve heard is that some owners (enough to sustain a veto of an agreement) think this is their time to break the union.

They think having the Trump admin in power gives them leverage on labor law & a down economy will erode union support
