My operating assumption is that he tried to do a hasty coup in 2020 that failed, and so everything he does in his second term should be understood as laying the groundwork for a second coup to succeed.

The hero of Bondi: Ahmed el Ahmed, a 43 year old fruit shop owner from Sutherland. He grabbed the gun off one of the terrorists shooting at Jews during a Hanukkah celebration.

Ahmed was then shot in the leg and shoulder by another terrorist. He’s being treated in the hospital and expected to be OK.

Here's another example of a former friendly country coming to grips with the reality that they can't trust the USA under the current regime. It is hard to imagine that their trust will be restored even if there is a regime change in 2028. Nobody likes to get whiplashed.
