i want to boost this because it's facts but also, to put myself on main street for a second: i got a master's degree, live in NYC right now, and i am still solidly working class. i am as far removed from being a coastal elite as an apple is removed from a whale.
Just bc you have a degree it doesn’t make you an elite. It means you did the work to further your education. Doesn’t make you any better or smarter. It’s not our fault that CUNY and SUNY still remains one of the most affordable school systems in the country.

To add to this, almost all of the U.S.’s problems are linked to its hatred of Black people and that it hates Black people more than it loves anyone else. Our laws and policies are largely based on making sure Black people (and sometimes other groups) don’t benefit even at the expense of others.
