He should absolutely be fired by NYT for this. Major conflict of interest that he didn't disclose.

We did choose to keep Froggie home this week after hearing that five (5!!) kids from his nursery were sent home yesterday with fevers. He’s too young for the vaccine.

But we can do this because we both have flexible working arrangements. Systemic measures matter.
🧵1/ Flu is surging again, & patterns look uncomfortably familiar. The lesson from covid remains unchanged: individual responsibility isn’t enough. We need systemic measures that make protective behaviours easy. @profstevegriffin.bsky.social Stephen Reicher & I offer some thoughts @bmj.com

Also, I had to buy a carbon monoxide alarm this year and they were WAY less expensive than I expected.

Ours was a bit fancy and only $30! You can get one for $20 easily if you just need to not die.
If you lose power and are using a portable generator, remember to only run it outdoors at least 20 feet away from your home. Portable generators can produce deadly levels of carbon monoxide in minutes. Make sure you have a working carbon monoxide alarm on every level of your home.

I always always try, especially for indie books and especially for queer/trans authors, to make sure when I add it to my fediverse reading log there's an image of the cover (so people want it!) and a link to buy it directly from the author (so the easiest way to get it is the best!).
