Today’s episode of “Academic Gatekeeping”: my paper was sent back because the paragraphs had 6pt spacing between them. Apparently the biggest threat to quality scholarship is… paragraph gaps. #AcademicSky

They are easily identifiable actually. Read the first paper in the Lancet Series.

Worth noting that 'Safer Gambling Week' is a gambling industry initiative, and as such, is designed to covertly promote gambling, and mislead the public and policymakers. So perhaps you shouldn't be promoting it, and indirectly, industry front groups involved in it, like gambleaware.

This new paper in the Lancet shows the power of social network analysis and data visualization to convey complex connections among the global political influence of the ultra processed foods industry.

I recommend reading this entire paper: www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...
I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.
🚨The global rise of #UltraProcessedFoods isn’t accidental – it’s powered by a corporate playbook.

⚕️A must-read @thelancet.com paper maps how junk food giants block regulation, control narratives & reshape food policy in their favour. And what we can do about it👇
