My money is on Rubio being the first big resignation not out of any scandal or anything but mainly personal embarrassment given how he was a rising star ~10 years ago with his Gang of 8 immigration stuff and now he’s trotted out to say “Santas elves are MS-13 which is why we bombed the North Pole”

Caesar in the game refers to the Dam/Colorado as his Rubicon. If you have read a book or even watched the HBO Rome show you’d know the Rubicon is not a big river! It wasn’t the site of a large battle, it was symbolic! Point of no return! But Caesar is, again, a fucking idiot!

It’s so interesting, the NCR quests are mainly you putting out little fires all over the place that mostly come down to inefficiency, meanwhile the Legion quest is literally “if you do not save Caesar it doesn’t matter what happens at the Dam, the bottom will fall out” which is inevitable lol

I think it’s just impossible for Dems to “win on immigration” seeing as how the entire issue was created by the right wing - especially when Dems buy into the Starmerist approach they’ve been doing. They were more successful when they were openly pro immigration during Trump 1 iirc

It manifests in other ways beyond just high prices too. Like in my experience in Seattle I can’t have a shortlist of 5-10 apts I tour over a week or two and then select one after careful thought. If I don’t apply immediately after tour, there’s a good chance it’s off market a day later

Iirc the only reason they were able to hit the target in 2024 was because of the amount of women joining up. Seeing as how the regime is intent on purging anyone that isnt Duke Nukem from the ranks, I don’t really see them being good barring some drop in standards ala ICE

Allowing housing in EVERY neighborhood, rather than engaging in perennial piddly debates about tiny sections of Seattle, would greatly ease gentrification pressure in areas like the CD, CID, Southeast Seattle, and South Park because renters wouldn't be confined to tiny swaths of the city.
