Whole lotta Canes folks followed me and that’s awesome. You guys are GREAT.

But please #TakeWarning: I’m gonna hate on North Carolina State almost as hard as I hate on Duke and that comes with my territory.

Points for thinking outside the box… but you have a round robin schedule. You don’t need this.

This “flex game” needs to be part of these oversized leagues where you don’t play 40-50% of the conference to ensure an additional marquee game. As opposed to Ohio State/Purdue or UGA/Clanga.
News: The Pac-12 football schedule has been released, and it includes a "flex" rematch game for everyone on the final weekend that won't be determined until six days prior.

New-look Pac-12’s 2026 football schedule features unique ‘flex’ games
Each school will have a “flex” rematch game on the final weekend that will not count toward conference standings but serve league interests.

Looks like the Pac-12 will wrap up conference play two weeks before their conference championship game.

Last week of play will be a non conference flex week. For example, Boise State will play a non-con game against either Colorado St, Fresno St, Utah St, or Washington St.

What happened with Jeremy Sochan and the Spurs?

Did he just not fit with Wemby or was there something more to it?

I know I’m fixating, but “shooting down party balloons and using it as a pretext for war” is literally the “99 Luftballons” story arc. 🎈🤯 (Even “Miami 2017” didn’t map this closely.)

also IF the AI doomerism was correct and we are in the process of building literal Skynet the ONLY ethical way forward would be to deploy lethal military violence against the AI industry and it's researchers worldwide.

If you aren't suggesting that, you don't believe this is end-the-world serious.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

The Pentagon and the FAA have clear structures in place to ensure that they are, in fact, in clear communications with each other. These structures have existed for decades.
The US military must obey FAA regulations at all times by the law.
I used to work as a CTR for the USAF office that did this.
MS NOW: "A congressional official with knowledge of the matter is telling MS NOW the cause of the shutdown of El Paso airspace is a lack of communication between the Pentagon and FAA. The official told us the FAA and DOD are 'not in clear communications with each other.'"

Huh, shocking!

Yall remember that beautiful span of time from 2009 through summer 2016 where nothing really ever happened and the worst thing that people freaked out over was a tan suit man that was a fun time to be alive
The FAA is closing the airspace around El Paso International Airport in Texas for 10 days, grounding all flights to and from the airport, for “special security reasons."

The FAA's notice did not provide additional details.

Like 75% of the US Olympic curlers are from Minnesota. A lot of them curl out of two clubs in Saint Paul, one club is in Frogtown, a neighborhood that has been very heavily targeted by ICE. These curlers are good neighbors.
US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:

"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."
