I wrote this piece about Trudi Warner and why juries are an important part of our constitution in April last year. I think particularly worth reading today.

High Court slaps down ‘fanciful’ prosecution of Trudi Warner | Good Law Project
Judge rules that the solicitor general ‘mischaracterised’ the evidence when he charged Warner with contempt of court for holding up a placard.

the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

another day, another study confirming the obvious ... and i'll repeat: studies like this should make it clear that the transphobic crusade against our healthcare is just an effort to kill us — especially kids.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition

The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving HRT by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

this must be all that 'the bbc is captured by gender ideology' that @maitlis.bsky.social, @jonsopel1.bsky.social, and @lewisgoodall.com were bravely standing up against when they helped propagate a whole bunch of dangerous medical disinformation, that has got several kids killed since, on newsnight.

In 2021 Good Law Project went for an Orwell Prize for uncovering the Covid PPE VIP lane - an issue which helped bring down the last Government. We didn't even get shortlisted - one of the judges was a Director General under the last Government working on... the Covid response. 😂
I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Saying kids shouldn't get a choice over their puberty is to say no one gets bodily autonomy

You're saying no one gets a say over the lifelong, often permanent changes their bodies undergo. Only you get to dictate it for them

I cannot abide that

At this point, I cannot advise trans people to trust or engage with the UK legal system.

Be that as a victim of crime or a witness too crime.

Stay as safe as you can people.

In the span of a hour, they stealth edited the article from trans woman to "biological male who identifies as a woman." The BBC isn't fit for purpose.
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

The evolution of the BBC article on Graham Linehan's conviction and how it describes the trans victim of this crime is beyond atrocious. They actively went out of their way to dehumanize the victim here. They removed all pronouns for her and gendered honorifics such as "Ms."

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

No right to determine one's own gender
No right to privacy
No right to protest
No right to jury trial
No real transfer of power when a supposedly different party is elected

Does anyone recognise what this is yet?

Perhaps naive and nostalgic of me but – was there not a point in the last decade or so when one would have expected (at least within the legal profession and the judiciary) – a far bolder defence of the rule of law?

“she found Graham Linehan was a ‘generally credible witness’ and appeared to be ‘genuinely frank and honest’.”
They keep fucking editing the article, but it's not any better. And this addition about why the judge referred to her as "them" is like a parody of impartiality
