How did Zohran Mamdani go from polling at 1% to Mayor-elect of New York City?
How Mamdani Won: Field Director Tascha Van Auken on Grassroots Organizing Behind Historic Victory

All of this. Jewish and Muslim safety are intertwined, and like so many Jews I proudly supported Zohran Mamdani's election.

We don't need an ADL aligned with Trump that stokes Jewish fear and fails to hold actual nazis accountable.
WATCH: After Zohran's election, some asked us why the ADL — founded to keep Jews safe — is trying to keep Jews afraid with a “Mamdani Monitor.

We made a video about how the same group that excused Elon Musk’s Nazi salute is helping Trump and capitulating to authoritarianism.

This was worth the fight -- but Dems left us. Without subsidies -- many folks will effectively lose all access to healthcare. I'm seeing folks with single-person premiums of up to $40k/ year. Why? Because disabled folks' healthcare is expensive. Without that care we can't live, work, study, etc.
Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

This is why i keep saying hes a narcissist. The ASL person is there to help disabled people thats deaf. Nothing else. The hand movements help deaf people understand whats going on. If you are that insecure about it you should not be a public figure. #Disability

Trump must use ASL interpreters again, even though he dislikes ‘sharing a platform’
The president ‘inexplicably’ stopped providing sign language interpreters at official briefings, the National Association of the Deaf argued

It’s a race to the bottom and for the sake of permanently defeating the Republican Party to make sure those fascists never have power again every Democratic State needs to enter this race and win.
Breaking News: Gov. Mike Braun of Indiana called a special legislative session to redraw congressional maps in his state to benefit Republicans, joining other Republican-held states in an effort by the Trump administration to keep control of the House in midterm elections next year.
Indiana Governor Calls Special Session to Boost Republicans in Congress
Indiana is the latest state to consider redrawing its maps at the request of the Trump administration, though it was not clear if Republicans have enough votes.

The "set aside the art from the artist" thing in this case is moot. Harry Potter money now goes right to destroying the human rights of trans persons. A billionaire who got her ass kissed for two decades got a rebuke and now she's got to wreck the lives of others.
It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

Folks, you can't report the United States to its manager. There's no superhero coming to save us.

We don't need one giant act of heroism. We need millions of small acts of solidarity. Help one person in your community for nothing in return. Then, do it again. And again.

That's the revolution.

Very happy to share a new report I co-authored with @jasonkowalski.bsky.social and Tish Tablan on a stellar Connecticut Green Bank program.

The report gives you everything on the program and how to replicate it!

Next up: spreading the model across the country with @publicrenewables.org
3/ We’re kicking things off with a new report: Public Option Solar for K-12 Schools. With partners @climaterealityproject.org and @generation180.bsky.social we found that Connecticut publicly developed 27% of the state’s K-12 solar (2015–2023) making CT #1 in the contiguous U.S. for solar schools.
