some recent(ish) minis i finished, figured i should have something more than just my cat to show for myself here 🤔 #miniatures #minipainting
two miniature models painted as princess zelda (left) and a korok (right) from the legend of zelda games; zelda stands on a rock surrounded by shrine water with a smoking magical brazier coloured like the three goddesses in one hand and the other her chest, the korok is standing on one leg on a stump and holding up branches with red berries on them. the zelda is a slightly-modified games workshop lumineth scinari cathallar model and the korok is an original sculpt by the painter. a 5' tall wizkids mtg miniature model of a large dryad; her humanoid torso coming out of large tree trunk legs with her arms outstretched to the side, large branches that look like hands extend from the trunk and hold the same position below her arms. her skin and the tree bark are a dark rich brown and her hair is teal-blue. vines curl around the dryad and hang off the large gathering of foliage behind her, moss and tall grasses decorate the edges of a small rocky river that curls around the base. a games workshop miniature model of lady olynder, a spectral woman covered in a veil and large crown, holding a staff and her skirts in her skeletal hands. rose vines with thorns curl around her and hang down from her flowing dress, and said dress is covered in tear stains, still dripping tears as she mourns eternal. she is flanked by two spectral handmaidens, their faces and bodies skeletal and gnarled as well. the left holds a shattered hourglass, and the right a locked treasure box. all 3 are painted in tones of light lavender to deep purple and black. dense overgrown moss and more rose vines choke out the carved marble stone on the base below.

Pink Ghost Pipe plant at my hometown, Logy Bay, #Newfoundland Canada. Ghost Pipes are most commonly white, but some have pink or even red colouration. Pic from a couple of years ago, in August.

Garfielded (garfed? Garfified?? haha) pictures of Nala and Sassy :🥹
Sassy the tuxedo cat as a Nermal type of character, with a scheming look on her face as she lays under a blanket. Nala the brown short hair/tabby - I am bad with cat breeds - in a Garfield art style napping. She has her little beauty marks around her lips too! The same two pictures as before, but this time with them sharing a blanket. It's a symbol of how they have slowly grown more comfortable with each other's space, even though Sassy cannot help but choose chaos sometimes :D

Like The Hero or Ferelden, no matter who they were, wants to stop a Blight. The Inquisitor wants to repair the sky. And Hawke, like, wants to make some money, hang around their friends, and keep their family and their adoptive city safe. And they can’t even fucking do that, so unlike the heroes before and after them. You spend seven years in Kirkwall until the game says, “yeah, no matter what, the prejudices and traumas and hurts of this world are Too Much for one person to stop them. The world changes, wars roll over the land, you cannot stop history, Hawke. You tried. You failed.” And then you just sit there, sixteen years old, listening to “I’m Not Calling You A Liar” and you’re like….well, I guess I really wasn’t a hero. Damn. I love it.
