I thought it was the perfect time to share some illustrations of the legendary Ida B. Wells! Ida Bell Wells-Barnett was a prolific African-American investigative journalist, civil rights activist, and women’s suffragist who led an anti-lynching crusade in the United States in the 1890s. #bhm

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

NEW: ICE has a plan to lease offices across the US as part of a secret, months-long expansion campaign.

Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.

Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.

Since all of the "The GOAT" posters keep reminding me that the same animators worked on the Spider-Verse movies & K-Pop Demon Hunters, what would make me really happy is to see Gwen have a HUNTR/X poster on her bedroom wall. Ecstatic if "Golden" was her ringtone for her devices. Do it, Sony.

But on Sunday afternoon, his wife told MPR News that he still hadn't received the life-saving medication.

"religious" as a signifier of laudatory authenticity & virtue is reserved for white evangelicals while ignoring liberal denominations & black churches which are more historically rooted & theologically informed, and disparaging nonchristian religious conservatives eg muslims as foreign & backward
Lost in the Don Lemon story is this. Armstrong led a religious protest against a religion appeasing evil. This fact is lost, b/c the press corps strips the religious expression of Black people, representing their acts as only political. This allows the right to claim religious persecution.
