A classic case of irresponsible both-sidesism from the NYT. The story is that Trump and MAGA propagandists are lying about Portland to incite a conflict, not that there are different views of the matter.
Some of the Caesars, like Tiberius and Gaius (AKA Caligula) became monsters. Caligula said that his “superpower” (paraphrasing here) was his shamelessness.
Cops can arrest people who are annoying them, put them on the ground, cuff them, take them back to the station, hold them, and then release with no charges. In fact they never intended to charge them.
I understand that the continuing resolution is only for a few months. The next one would still be before people had to buy the health insurance. Although I guess people would decide not to buy based on those prices and then perhaps with Luke’s coverage, even though the subsidies were restored.
