Surtrlogi is coming for us all!
That's mix-tape and cheque book.

I _had_ an AOL address, but never used it, as I was on FidoNet & UseNet instead. So either 19 or 20, depending.

But "pay phones" are still used in Australia (though they are now free!), & we still use the phone book, the dictionary & turntables (record players).

17 (have never used a fax machine, a record player, or a phone booth)

Haven’t seen this get shared yet in the Rob Reiner appreciation:

The Princess Bride home movie, made by a raft of Hollywood types during lockdown. If you haven’t seen now’s a good time to fix that.

Or just skip to 1:06 and see Rob doing the final scene, with his dad. 😭

Interestingly, I'm about to get into this state.
In New Zealand one starts receiving superannuation payments when one becomes 65, regardless of one's income.
I will start seriously considering my future employment at that time, though I will most likely still be employed when it happens.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

Can confirm...
Some people are very good at writing sex and some people are good at believing that they are good at writing sex, the first is a tremendously impressive skill and the second is what makes for deeply uncomfortable author presentations at science fiction conventions
There's nothing wrong with literary porn, but some of the crap those guys wrote was "Have you actuallly ever HAD sex?"

"It's arguably most productive to view public action against an oppressive force specifically as a game — not as a trifle, but as a series of moves with an end state."

Contributor @therisingtithes.bsky.social connects RPG prep with the increasingly vital labor of public protest.

Discovered today I actually had _five_ non-, or poorly functional, clothes dryers in the garage. I thought I only had three.
Luckily the friends who brought their trailer over could fit all five on board, and when they were taken to the tip, the tip people actually gave them money for them!

Also, I kind of really want a werewolf story where a biologist turns and then has to inform the pack that they are working off of a very outdated understanding of wolf social dynamics.
