Quick reminder everything they say is a fucking lie.

We are facing a major healthcare crisis due to the occupation.

Pregnant people are regularly missing care & do face an impossible choices.

Occupying agents ABSOLUTELY enter hospitals for enforcement purposes and have since they arrived.

This morning people I know saw ICE agent vehicles following school buses with kids in them. Fewer agents since Homan arrived? Maybe. More aggressive behavior towards observers and responders, absolutely. His comments warn observers to expect aggression and violence.
100% yes -- Homan signaled a shift in the suburbs, and it was to (more) aggression towards observers, (more) stalking kids at bus stops, (more) lurking on school grounds.
Suburban observers say ICE has only been more aggressive since Homan: “I think they’re getting angry that we’re winning and the country is rallying around us. We’re so organized and we act with such integrity. They don’t want to admit they feel threatened by us.”

North Minneapolis is crawling with ICE today and sheriff deputies harassing observers asking why they are out there.
Never believe this administration and their talk of draw downs.

While Tom Homan was trying to grab headlines this morning ICE was again circling our schools. They’ve been out all morning and no “drawdown” is enough until every single one of these agents is out of our state and DHS is abolished.

If anyone was wondering, the ~23% reduction in ICE agents in Minnesota apparently doesn't include the ones down the street that are lurking, now as I type this, as vulnerable folks are getting their kids to the school bus this morning.

We cannot rest until ICE is gone, entirely.

It’s very true that Homan is retreating but it’s also true that 2,300 agents — or even fewer — can continue to inflict state terrorism on a broad scale here. I reject doomerism but also the inevitability of victory based on today’s events. Keep fighting & prepare for the long haul.
3,000 wasn’t enough to break Minnesota and they’re removing 23% without any concessions.

Homan has already talked about how they needed to rotate agents because it’s tough being “in the theater”. And they’re cutting their forces 23%? Might as well pull them all out.

They are so cooked.

*Everyone* I know in MN is exhibiting telltale signs of trauma response to the occupation at this point; whether directly impacted or feeling the impacts of secondary and indirect trauma.

This is a reminder to care for the helpers and front line folks. To get rest and pace yourself.

Hang in there.

This morning, federal agents staged at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center lot and began to throw chemical irritants at observers. They also kidnapped an observer. Our parks are meant for our children, youth, and neighbors. They should never be militarized zones meant to separate families. 1/

It is literally false that the Jews being hunted by Nazis were citizens, because the first step toward genocide was stripping them of citizenship and making them stateless. As Arendt reminds us, citizenship is a legal category created to facilitate a machinery of exclusion of the out-group.
