Relevant Andor wisdom for the foreseeable future:

“We fight to win. That means we lose and lose and lose - until we’re ready. All you know now is how much you hate. You bank that, you hide that - you keep it alive until you know what to do with it.”

Today, we’re at the losing phase. Expect more.

Wherever you find a dipshit whose fundamental beliefs make no fucking sense, you find a dipshit who has fully and gleefully embraced generative AI to soothe the pain of being a dipshit.

That is its only purpose, other than producing CSAM and being a ponzi scheme and justifying mass layoffs.

To hell with a Joe Rogan for the left. Can I have a Mitch McConnell for Democrats, please? Imagine having someone who would go as hard in the paint for civil rights as McConnell did for antiblackness.

What we’re seeing with WaPo is part of a larger trend.

If it’s not clear by now, there is nothing big money gets its hands on that does not dirty and destroy.

- housing
- law
- govt
- media
- entertainment

What we call “enshittification” is really the capitalization of everything.

hard to think of a better example of "you may not believe in class war, but billionaires know they're in one" than this
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."
Trump Changes Course in Minneapolis
The White House has been met with broad outcry over the killing of Alex Pretti, as well as pushback from Congress.

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Groups like the Heritage Foundation need to be destroyed.

Stripped of tax exempt status, the ability to spend unlimited sums of money on politics, and the ability to conceal donors.

Go down a list: Heritage, CNP, the Manhattan Institute, ALEC, DonorsTrust, Americans for Prosperity, etc.

Following the Kent State massacre in May 1970, a Gallup poll showed that 58% of Americans thought the shootings were justified. The night *before* the killings, Ohio's GOP governor described the student protesters this way: "They're the worst type of people that we harbor in America."

Years from now, it'll be difficult to explain the things people in media were wailing about before all this. Sophomores writing underconsidered op-eds about cultural appropriation. Protests against demagogues on campus. YA drama. "Mobs" on Twitter. These were the threats to free society.

People say that the GOP is all stick no carrot, that they forgot the bread and circuses.

But the thing is these guys are all incredibly cooked in the CSAM slop Nazi bar, playing to a tiny but loud group of utter freaks for whom murder and cruelty *is* the carrot and the bread and the circus.

They don't care what you believe. They are about imposing dominance and control over everything including you.
The people who spent years defending and even lionizing Kyle Rittenhouse and Ashli Babbitt now want us to believe that an unarmed mother in her car and a disarmed nurse were domestic terrorists who deserved to be murdered by law enforcement.

This moment in history provides us with incontrovertible evidence that all the conservatives who claim to be extremely devoted to freedom of speech and the right to bear arms, and opposed to the encroachment of tyranny, are completely and totally full of shit.

It's all white supremacy and greed.

Democrats can and must make it clear there will be trials and anyone even somewhat associated with ICE will face them. Maybe give a quit-your-job deadline on appeasement and give people 72 hours. I don't know. But currently the plan is to let them murder us in the street and get away with it.

We’re going to have to systematically dismantle this cancerous movement.

- Strip the dark money groups and political churches of tax exempt status
- Target right-wing media with antitrust
- Oust right-wing bullshit from academia and law schools
- Root out fascists in government and law enforcement
“Everyone should be allowed to carry a gun for their safety but the government can murder you in the street if you have a gun” is an incredible endpoint for the conservative moment

What's cool about seeing people argue with each other about the best way to punish ICE agents for their crimes, do this versus that, is that the conversation is now one taking for granted that they will be held accountable and brutally punished. Not *whether* they will be held accountable.
