I hear you. This can turn into scare-marketing, "hackers will turn all-knowing LLMs against us". The post does caveat it's a narrow result, "we poisoned with gibberish text". Having worked in adversarial AI, the findings don't surprise me at all. These things are fragile.

The difference b/t your plan to use Maps and Maps "planning routes"--a case of what @timnitgebru.bsky.social calls "aspirational naming" by comp. scientists (like "AI", our original sin)--is **teleological**

What's to clarify? It's a category error to say an LLM can "plan" because that's an attribute of a living creature, not a statistical model. The onus is on you to convince the world that "infer >1 word" = "plan". Good luck. For the philosophy, see eg from @cv-danes.com
