#ProjectGA60

My month of self-indulgence is over.

I started it carried away and became more so. Which fits, as they started brilliantly and became more so.

Anyway, here's 'The Whole Lot(ta History)' Edition.

Signing off... now 🤞for a Deep Cuts Show :)

PROJECT GA60 - THE WHOLE LOT(ta History)
PROJECT GA60 “INTRO” Hi How U? What is ‘Project GA60?’ It is a celebration of a pop band who have been a perpetual source of joy, delight and comfort in the last nine years. It is timed to coincide w...

CupcakKe announces new album, ‘The BakKery,’ out Friday, October 24th.
Hello! I am finishing a drink I bought a while ago! Driving home after.

(Also minimising the time I spend standing, due to slow-healing leg injury. A mere 12 weeks ago I was in Gold Circle at Spurs for Not Like Us, what a contrast…)

The sole advantage of said injury being zero pressure to find a good spot near the front :)

(This is, like, stage 2 of 6 to previous fitness)
First gig since Kendrick/SZA (wearing the T shirt!) and the leg injury that struck a few weeks later.

More points in #TheTwen2ie5 always welcome!

Then there's Russ Taylor. "It's just a vehicle. So it's ironic that it would even become a political statement."

(Editor's note: Taylor was plead guilty to conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding in the January 6 attack. He was later pardoned by Trump.)

The party of government, that won a generational landslide just over a year ago, is polling at just 15%.

Starmer will be remembered as one of the worst prime ministers in British history, and a willing midwife for the fascism to come.

The inevitable result of this will be any candidate with a “foreign” enough sounding name being auto-rejected regardless of their nationality. More so than they currently are.

This is by design.
'thanks' to the algorithm, this is what I woke up to every morning... As a foreigner, this really gets me in a good mood (not) for the day.

Not once have I seen an explanation for why teenagers must hear things that upset them in virtue of the unspecified speech-acts being upsetting, nor have I ever seen an explanation for why teenagers will be forbidden to express displeasure with upsetting things.
William Hague: Why I’ll banish ‘safe spaces’ at Oxford
The new chancellor tells Cheltenham Literature Festival that there will be no ‘cancel culture’ and students should expect to hear things that upset them
October 14 2025, The Times
The new chancellor of Oxford University has said there will be no safe spaces for students and warned would-be undergraduates that they will “hear things that will upset and offend them”.
I wonder if all my 12 contenders will be posted today (two down, two to go)😁

ROSALÍA - SAOKO (2022) (Spain)

This song is a whole load of booming fun (... and it's taken me up to now to find Wison's/ Daddy Yankee's Saoco which is also fabulous).

'MICRODOSING'
USA 2021

This falls into the category "incredibly red hot piece of club music that exists purely to bang like the proverbial outhouse door in a hurricane".

Jersey Club, to be precise.

PPP: B-sides first knockout round, 2021

I’ve had three main poll runners-up; I won the last Golden Beat on Twitter (also in this list) and had another runner-up. But the B-sides often flummoxed me, and 2021 was particularly harsh: all the stuff I liked most seemed to fall in the first knockout round. Including ‘Microdosing’, a thrilling, sexy ‘Jersey Club’ track of relentless force and momentum. Although I’ve not been to this kind of club, I’ve had my fair share of hot dancefloor nights in the 20s, and this really conjures up all the energy and tension. That momentum comes from the backing track, the ‘take a dose of me” hook, Uniique3’s two rap verses, and finally a stuttering outro that fittingly leaves you breathless.

Long story short, an actual Nazi doxxing ring. Enough people reported them that they went away for like 12 hours and then Elon personally brought them back. The site is dead. If you’re still on there, go lock your account right now

I’m getting a sense here that of course the lads want to crack down on the avalanche of racism in our university hate factories, but maybe not if it involves arresting students who go to Oxford, because they are real people who actually matter.

The NHS is changing trans people back to birth sex on file, meaning we will not be treated appropriately for our bodies.

This is deadly, completely unacceptable, and the result of hateful far right ideology in our politics and healthcare.
Just got a call from a lovely but very nervous Dr, who advised I wouldn't be routinely screened for breast cancer because I'm not indicated as being "biologically female" on the central NHS database and my biology wouldn't indicate I'm at risk.

My records have been altered, which is upsetting.

The thing that gets me about actors responding like this whenever they’re asking about JKR is that they always say “we need to learn to agree to disagree ^_^” as if trans people are the ones leading the campaign, when we’re just trying to live our lives while JKR posts about trans hate 24/7

Keira Knightley cares so little about trans people that she couldn't even be bothered to prep an answer about working w/ Rowling & just seemed very angry to be asked. And no, I don't believe that she didn't know. Come on. www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/co...
