CNN reporting that a week before Alex Pretti was killed, 5 agents tackled him and he suffered a broken rib. CNN says he stopped his car after he saw ICE agents interacting with a family on foot and began to blow his whistle. Source tells CNN Pretti believed “That day he thought he was going to die”

My left eye hasn’t stopped twitching for 3 days. My soul is fatigued. I keep pushing myself to do hard cardio workouts as stress relief, but I’m not able to give myself any time to recover before I have to do it again to avoid totally crashing out.

It’s so overwhelming and scary being the mother of a very small child right now. It feels like everything is happening at once and all I can do is try to be her calm and comfort, while I have no calm or comfort for myself.

BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

We had a good run, after almost 11 months (including the times I banished my partner to the couch with a mask) we have succumbed to illness. The entire family has a gnarly cold. Taking care of the sick baby while you’re sick is so humbling. I’m glad she’s almost 1 and didn’t get sick sooner though.

Scheduled my 9 month old for an early MMR vaccine, we are traveling in March and I’m not taking any risks since I’m aware of the measles r0 and woefully bad vaccination rates lately. Even if no one is sick here, there are flights from Texas at the airport. Glad I have a good pediatrician.
