Yes I have nothing. No idea how it happened. What’s weird is that it worked for like a minute and THEN plasma permanently died. when I tried to reset it I would just get a core dump error. fucking weird. lesson learned: I do not get an animated desktop background lmao

oh wait i have a theory. looking it up it uses zram to compress ram to the swap space. maybe i was just keeping everything too fresh to be compressed...? still, it's odd. i have 32 gigs, it shouldn't have gone OOM, unless there's a memory leak somewhere

okay i had my first big Linux Oopsie last night: the distro i'm using comes with a wallpaper engine plugin for kde plasma so i thought i'd give it a try. it just immediately broke plasma entirely had i had to completely delete the config files and let it regenerate them to recover my GUI lol

in like middle school i somehow stumbled upon the album "Goodbye Blues" by The Hush Sound and it's been a perennial favorite ever since. unfortunately the band broke up after making that album and their earlier ones sound nothing like it lmao
