one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

back in the day black metal guys wouldn’t do embarrassing shit like 40 minute IG posts about their band breaking up, they’d burn down a church or kill each other, guy stuff

If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

What's always remarkable to me when I'm in a home with a Ring camera is how annoying it is to the people who live there. People hate them but never even consider getting rid of them once they have them.
Probably the worst of them all is the Ring doorbell.

It’s sold as safety, but it’s much more about fear and paranoia in a box that turns you against your community. The more of them in the world, the worse our neighborhoods get. Don’t help the spiral continue.

The Overton Window has shifted and increasingly wanton overt bigotry and evil are mainstream. Don’t accept it. Fight and defy people like this.

You know for a fact they're only doing this because juries are routinely finding anti-genocide and climate change protestors innocent.
Bit of a test case here for “is liberalism still a real thing, or is it just a political version of a collection of Labubus that you show off to your friends” IMO.

Unreleased films are a wild idea to me. Unreleased novels and albums I get, there’s a much shorter chain of command on those generally, but there’s DOZENS of people involved in these things, so much more money spent, and nobody puts the brakes on earlier?
Obscure YT of the day: Abel Ferrara's still not released in the U.S. MARY (2005). Sort of AF's response to PASSION OF THE CHRIST. Juliette Binoche, Forest Whitaker, Matthew Modine, Heather Grahm, Marion Cotillard, Stefania Rocca star. Good stuff!

Stop asking us to defend the BBC
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

This is performance art. It's political discourse improv. It's like watching Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler acting shocked that a wrestler would distract the referee

This is the same Labour Party who will turn around and ask why people aren't talking about all the "good things" they're doing in government and the simplest answer is: you're making small pleasures harder to obtain while things are getting shitter.
