They traded their best pitcher and signed this washed guy instead. Gonna be a great year at Navy Yard.
Miles Mikolas' most-distinctive feature at Nats camp isn't his trademark mustache. It's the extensive experience he brings to a rotation that was sorely lacking in anything along those lines before the 37-year-old signed with them last night. natsjournal.com/p/a-seasoned...
A seasoned veteran joins a staff of kids
37-year-old Miles Mikolas arrived at Nats camp today and spoke about both teaching and learning from his new young teammates

No. A thousand times no.
Democrats should promise, today, that Melania Trump, Elon Musk and Peter Thiel will be stripped of citizenship and deported if the administration advances this effort
cool, cool. so we are sort of like citizens, but not really?

TFR expert here. This is not funny, federal aviation agencies only do this when extremely distressed by CBP firing a fucking 20 kW laser into the sky without regard for civilian aircraft.

If you’re a witness and the staff are laughing out loud and no one is even attempting to stifle it you may have made some errors in your testimony.
Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

Not only did low information voters elect Trump they refuse to see Trump’s actions as they are, probably because the human brain doesn’t want to believe that because it would force them to do something and they really do not want to do something. That the joy of being a low information voter.
Seems like a lot of evidence against a “the failure was democratic messaging” story of 2024. What’s happening, that people disapprove of, is exactly what prominent democrats said would happen (and often was written down in Project 2025).
New poll: In 2024, low-engagement voters went for Trump over Harris by 11 percentage points. But now they disapprove of the way he's handling the presidency by 13. They have moved 25 points against Trump — 2x as large as the shift for high-knowledge voters www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trump-lost...

There are sadly still people who think dogs are just accessories and not living things and she is one of them. These people are not right in the head.
This is some genuinely psycho shit...

Please tell me if there’s a difference between an early burrito delivery app and the claims AI promoters make that never, ever pan out. Jesus H.
I just think it’s very clearly getting much better quite quickly. But yes the timelines are probably going to be longer. Here’s a useful example. Kozmo dot com was a quintessential tech bubble company in early sights that didn’t pan out. Promised 1 hr delivery of whatever you needed.

Thirty years later Walter Matthau’s character would have been working at the Pentagon for Don Rumsfeld.

He also slaps a woman, so that checks out too.
I was thinking about Sidney Lumet's "Fail Safe" (1964) today. Excellent film

Correct. I swear analytics get used during broadcasts to make people yell. If it’s a go they show that. If it’s a no they just cut to the punt and the booth talks crap about analytics and rides the “complimentary football” hobby horse, when they don’t really know what that is.
NGS didn’t have a single go for it recommendation on any of the Seahawks’ field goals. Models aren’t always saying go for it!
Most people who were proponents of Go-for-it on 4th less than 5 are strangely quiet about McDonald kicking 5 FGs.

Hey look at me subsidizing an industry that employs fewer people than Etsy and produces a product no one wants.

Rotisserie chickens are a very inexpensive way to make two meals for a family. Chicken, then what you make out of whatever is left. Then stock to use for another meal. These people are idiots attempting to bring back the avocado toast wars.

The plot of Nobody 2 is basically a Rockford episode where he tries to go fishing in the country and the local sheriff is a corrupt asshole he has to fight and escape. I love it.
