Dragon Wars started out as Bard's Tale IV but when Interplay left EA to go indie (and with EA still holding onto the Bard's Tale rights at the time), renamed it. Instead of demonic horrors, dragons would be shoehorned in.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

I think Demonschool is a good video game but I think Brandon’s approach to how staff worked together and were credited REALLY deserves a lot of attention. Video game crediting is a stupid black box and transparency will help average people understand these roles.
demonschool credits all 145 people who touched the game over the course of its multi-year dev cycle AND explains what exactly they contributed. the rest of the games industry, which commonly omits people from credits entirely, should be taking notes

I am thinking of getting a USB desktop mic, but because of my set up, I need something that can pick me up from about 40-50cm (16-20 inches) away.
Is that just too far, or are there reasonably prices units that can handle that?

This and the "Aliens Ride Experience" at my local Dave and Busters back in the... late 90s? Early 2000s? with my friends made the expensive trips worth it every time.
Not quite the full version but I'm glad I was able to experience the six-player monstrosity, at least
