She is her inventing a grievance to be mad about. There are no distinct legal traditions in the province. They are a common law jurisdiction like eight other provinces in the country.
Quebec has a civil code, which is a distinct legal tradition, and Alberta does not.

A very sad case of incompetence coupled with ideology! Dani the Destroyer hasn't got a clue about prudent management and won't listen to those that do. The UCP needs to be fired. Alberta can't afford the chaos and waste of treasury dollars. #ABpoli

To set the record straight, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said today that about 30 per cent, or 1M, Albertans support independence. This is false. The latest IPSOS poll found about 15 per cent support for separation from Canada when those polled were informed about the "real-world consequences."

Just as the vast majority of Canadians have an ingrained sense of fairness (seeing it in spades in voluntary push-back against bullying by the US administration), most Albertans share the sentiment. So Danielle Smith, your failure to recognize that trait is going to backfire badly. #ABleg #ABpoli
