I know it's not the most serious thing in the world, but it is bad that people can’t even find entertainment, community, and social connection the way they’d like without having to deal with this.
insane local news just dropped. i've lived in a part of KC for ~decade and it's been an inside joke with friends and service workers that the local biz/party district is ran by a cartel of biz owners who bully out new ventures and replace them with generic dive bars for white suburbanites.

I cannot imagine the level of moral bankruptcy to describe the actions of people whose boat has just been hit by a missile from nowhere (this was the FIRST such strike) and who were most likely making a desperate attempt not to drown in the ocean as trying to "stay in the fight."

Hey folks, sorry for the long absence. A month ago, my left retina tore in two places. It's been a maddening month of not being able to see well enough to do any of the things I enjoy. I'll eventually probably get nearly perfect vision back (with corrective lenses) but I'm still healing.
