I think I'm the only person who monitors the Spotify charts closely enough to notice a potentially huge single rising up the charts, it's almost in the top 50 and I'm curious to see how far it can go. Can find nothing about the artist, White Noise Radiance, I don't get how there's so little coverage

i wish all of my fellow escape room gamemasters a happy "ill-advised first ever attempt at an escape room, just me and my partner, what do you mean two people probably isn't enough" day

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

an internet-famous person known for cussin' and violent comedy came to play one of our escape rooms tonight, along with his family

they were all super sweet and enthusiastic, and it was one of the most wholesome experiences i have witnessed in a while

my favorite part of any youtube sponsored segment about a dismal-looking mobile game is the part where they tell me that if i sign up in the next few days i'll get X amount of gems and Y amount of other currency

you know i haven't played the game

you know i have no context for how much that is

i cannot imagine a more foreboding sentence a team could have said pre-game than "chatgpt said you were the best escape room in the city"

my brother, my friend, chatgpt is for if you hate to think, and escape rooms are for if you like to think

the venn diagram is "O O"

this game seems like it's going to be incredible for fans of griddy logicky stuff
even the demo is overstuffed, it took me seven hours to 100% it

years ago, ariana grande and her entourage came to play one of our escape rooms

and the person who gave their intro spiel was probably the one person in a three-block radius who had never heard of ariana grande

the long-awaited sequel to raymond smullyan's "no, i don't believe in astrology, because i'm a gemini and i'm reliably informed that we never believe in astrology"
a few years ago a student in office hours told me i seemed like a sigma male and i asked him what that meant and he said it's a guy who is so confident he doesn't care about being an alpha and i said "well i guess in an absolute sense that's true" and he was like "that's such a sigma thing to say"

i actively sought out the tv show as a kid

all i remember now is a bit where he rigged up shower temperature voice commands, but dogbert kept tricking him into saying painfully high or low numbers

notably, they were all outside the 32-212 range of liquid water, and i doubt adams noticed or cared
rather than talk about Scott Adams I want to talk about something weirder (me). Who else was really into Dilbert when you were 12. Who else was like, boy, I can't wait to work a cubicle job

fifteen years later, one specific puzzle from the 2011 mit mystery hunt is still lodged in my brain and makes me notice when phrases have a lot of alphabetically consecutive letters, like how "quipster" has pqrstu

so i'm especially excited for kumail nanjiani (ijklmn) on taskmaster
