just watched a military ad that said "those who know what it means to serve" which sounds like a gender neutral term for drag queens

A fun thing is how I'll be surprised when my knee gives out, I'll just "yeah, it's been like that for 30 years" and crawl away. I hate paperwork so much.

Just remembered the time I asked a coworker whether he preferred Oasis or Pulp and he said the correct answer: "Blur". This was asked a propos of nothing and he just nailed it.

My sister saw this at a grocery store today. This is such charmingly misguided ad hoc signage that small, family-owned grocery stores really excel at. They used the red/orange paper to warn about the fire (that happened in the past at the egg carton manufacturer, affecting egg cartons).

I love Bruce, but I'm a pretty regular Springsteen guy. Never seen him live, but only because its a big thing. Have seen Little Steven. It was weird. I just spelled Garry Tallent without help and I just want to brag.

I have felt much guilt about not dancing recently, but there are reasons: 1) I'm almost 40 and my knee has been fucked for 30 years 2) I've never been good at dancing 3) my back is also fucked up. Do want paramedics handling a sad diabetic old guy who just tore a new thing in his ankle?

I got an email from ATK about recipes relating to the upcoming Olympics. Reminded me of this cake I baked/decorated for the 2008 summer Olympics. I was a 22-year-old who was an experienced and skilled baker, just not a decorator. It was delicious.

My 3-year-old nephew asked my dad to help him type up a thank you note to Santa. My nephew is very nice and very cute. He has interesting ideas about spacing and would annoy a copy editor.

I didn't realize how much I needed to hear a Christmas-themed Water Damage tribute in my life. Water Damage are an amazing band ive certainly annoyed at least 5 people i can name with my repeated recommendations of Water Damage.
For #wprbxmas. All proceeds to be donated to VOCAL-TX.

Next year we’ll keep this going with an Xmas tribute to RUSTED SHUT.

Good job picking that up
when the song goes "I'm skanking of a ska Skamas" it's mostly likely a ska Christmas parody song

Watching Christmas Eve On Sesame Street with my 3-year-old nephew is delightful, but he sure has a lot of questions. I can barely explain a typewriter to this kid, how am I to unpack Bert & Ernie's relationship in a way I understand, let alone a way a 3-year-old gets.

This sweater my nephew had when he was smaller was great, but i have one comment: the sweater of the dog pictured on the small child's sweater should have a picture of a small child on it. This fictional dog in (and on) a sweater is a fan of children and would choose to show his fandom of his shirt.

D. Boon died for America's sins.
it was a bad trade off.
D. Boon died this date in 1985... I saw Minutemen play a few shows in college and met him. I was so NOT a punk kid but was a budding lefty. He quizzed ME: What do you think of...? Have you read...? When I learned he'd died, I surprised myself and sobbed. Boy could we use him now... Rest in Power

Guy across the aisle on this train has a cat, but it's happily stowed in its carrier and it just feels unfair. Im spending an extended time like 3 feet from a cat and I can't even see it take a cute little nap, let alone gently pet its tummy and call it a sweet, dumb angel? That's fucked up.
