most of them weren't fighting fascism, they were fighting the axis and nazis.

not that the germans and nazis weren't fascists, but the idea that the doughboys were well-learned scholars of political science who joined the military to fight horrific sociopolitical norms is just funny.

oh, i'm not denying that some people fully believe that torture info is useful, nor that we turned it into "enhanced interrogation" during the afghan/iraq joint war.

or that the info is often used as a justification for torture.

but even then, it's mostly used to hurt people they think deserve it.

most torture irl is done for "fun" or retribution, not for information.

A bowl of homemade coleslaw 1 jalapeño, minced (depithed if necessary depending on heat tolerance) 1/2 red onion, minced 1 small cabbage, cut into medium strips Slaw sauce 2 large spoonfuls of mayo 1-2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar A couple glorps of Frank’s Red Hot Pepper to taste Mix sauce in separate bowl until incorporated, mix everything in large bowl until incorporated, cover and chill in fridge for at least four hours, stir before serving (I usually pair it with BBQ pulled pork or tritip sandwiches)
