I used to believe a lot of irrational things, but I’ve been trying to cut down.

Me: You can't block the bedroom door from the inside, I might need to get in here in a hurry.
4yo: why would you need to get in here in a hurry?
Me: I don't know yet, but you guys are innovators.

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Clearly Mark Cuban has done the work to understand our Healthcare system, which is more than I can say for almost every healthcare pundit.
What should be added to the bill for protection:
1. Any cash purchases apply to deductibles
2. Intercompany charges from providers must be at Medicare pricing (end MLR gaming)
3. Drugs must be priced at net during deductible phase
4. Declaration that drug rebates are paid by sickest patients

This is correct—Emdashes are no more a sign of LLM output than correct grammar.
This idea that emdashes are a sign of bad writing (or LLM-enabled writing) is… so perniciously stupid. Just because you don’t know your tools (keyboard shortcuts, OS substitution, good typography) and your language (English) well enough to properly use emdashes doesn’t mean emdash users are LLMs.

Neither Montana nor California have legalized in-app gambling and the fact that those two very different states agree on this should be a signal to everywhere else.

When I was in the car business we talked about “convertible people” “stick shift people” “Jeep people” etc. —People who put up with the inconvenience of their choice 90% of the time for the shining 10% when it’s the best choice.

They’re great. I sold a Mustang convertible in an ice storm to one.

Maybe it’s my industry (SaMD) but failing to plan for “no internet,” is a metaphorical brown m&m. It reveals a lack of attention to detail that makes me question the rest of their safety/security architecture.
