This thread by @timnitgebru.bsky.social deserves a lot more attention. Really we need to be looking through all the TESCREAL, Edge Foundation connections.

John Brockman was the literary agent for Steven Pinker, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, and Jared Diamond, he was a key Epstein nexus.

Some of their greatest hits are those like Nick "Blacks are more stupid than white's" Bostrom taking the stage to tell us about so-called "superintelligence", and other eugenicists we discussed in this paper: firstmonday.org/ojs/index.ph....

Kansas has passed a bill that would revoke trans people's drivers licenses, forcing them to surrender them for replacements.

It also creates trans bounty hunters that can sue trans people for money.

It goes to the gov, who will veto, but R's can override.

Do either "zombie citation" or "ghost reference" capture how AI is affecting scholarly infrastructure? Both assume a living thing that lives no more, and is undead or haunts in the present. Maybe we need a new term for AI-generated references to non-existent papers? Comp-Scitations? Slopferences?

How can a paper that was never written end up with 60+ citations in multiple journals and books with several different author and co-author credits? Maybe it started with human error/malpractice, but AI is clearly reproducing and amplifying the zombie infection.

An entire political movement founded on uncovering hidden messages in documents to discover the powerful secret pedophiles and meanwhile the powerful pedophiles out here sending gmails saying "Hi fellow pedophile when are we meeting to do pedophilia again"
Disgusting.

In an email on Sept. 11, 2013, Mr. Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, wrote to Mr. Epstein, “It was really nice seeing you yesterday.” He added: “Any time you’re in the area would love to see you. As long as you bring your harem!”

DHS doesn’t even bother trying to lie well. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he’d been struck by ICE officers, an ICE officer told hospital staff the guy “got his sh*t rocked,” then when it became clear how badly he was injured, they claimed he deliberately ran into a wall.

it's been very clear Epstein was a white supremacist, yet our (very white) media largely ignored to the public's detriment
Jeffrey Epstein sent a link to the white nationalist podcast The Right Stuff, whose core hosts played an active role in the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally. He did so in February 2016. Before TRS made national news, really.

Genuinely bizarre.
