This reminds me of when, c. 1988, a Gastonia pastor lost his radio show for nonpayment of fees. He was pictured in the paper, standing on the median of US-74 in front of the radio station in his klan garb with a sign complaining that the station "discriminates." 🙃

As y'all have probably heard, there has been a lot of ICE activity on the North Side of Chicago today. At least four people were kidnapped by ICE in the Rogers Park neighborhood. Folks mobilized throughout the day to do ICE Watch and Rapid Response work.

I've noticed this too. Though this week, I had a young teenager on the subway ask me about my mask and if COVID was back. When I said it never left, he looked very alarmed but also unsure I wasn't full of shit.
