Dr Gary Payinda ( @garypayinda.bsky.social ) of the Big Hairy Network's ( #BHN ) Frontline frame "has been selected to stand for the Labour Party against the incumbent Whāngarei MP, former Health Minister Dr Shane Reti."

An actual progressive candidate, who I would have thought more a Green.

I’m delighted to announce I'm standing as the Labour candidate in Wellington Bays/Rongotai in 2026. I'm thrilled to fight for better jobs, housing, and health services in our community. Look in the bio to donate, volunteer, and help us deliver a better government next year.

The writers have done a spectacular job this season revamping their fascinating "Marjorie Taylor Greene" character. The suspense over what she will do next is compelling. A lot of things are going on with MTG, maybe some good, others bad, and we won't know exactly what for two or more seasons.

Some costs aren’t costs.
One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss
Copenhagen, the bicycle-friendliest place on the planet, publishes a biannual Bicycle Account, and buried in its pages is a rather astonishing fact.
