Rabbi, Granny, Teacher, Queer. Proud Californian still rocking my TN accent in English and Hebrew. Trek aficionada.

Lots of poodle and sunset photos. Make room for laughter and wonder, if we are to survive!
I am so ashamed that President Trump said that. I am so sorry . I am angry with every person in Congress that he is still flying around on Air Force One talking like that.
Totally fair play by Thornberry. Angry. We need angry.

It's our sons and daughters being talked about. They're not just cannon fodder to be be ignored by some draft dodger poodle daddy commander in chief of the so called free world.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Is it @startribune.com policy to refer to anyone confronting ICE as a protester? This obscures the nature of what people are doing. We're not protesting ICE. We're constitutional observers documenting human rights abuses by agents of the state.

Unify the caucus, you fools! While we still have a democracy to defend! (((Wail)))
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

Jeffries Won’t Whip Vote Against ICE Funding - The American Prospect
While the House Democratic leader announced personal opposition to a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, he won’t pressure his colleagues to do the same.

Given the shit going down today I really hope people outside of Minnesota are talking a lot about how the federal government has openly declared war on Minnesota.

Maybe members of congress are doing something about it? If not, those of you not here please light up their phones. Fuck.

When you are angry at Trump about the destruction of science & prigrams, don't forget the "conservatives" who've been yammering about deconstructing the federal government ever since FDR died. And that stupid Reagan quote about government being the problem.
Trump boasts about annihilation of the govt workforce. He is a vacuum of understanding about how things work and shares it with the whole world.

This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.
