The conservative with a small “c” ruling would be to temporarily block Trumps actions since that would keep the status quo in effect. Instead they’re just buying into all his bullshit emergency arguments.
Christianity has a persecution complex at its core. It’s impossible to know how oppressed the early church really was because they delighted so much in bemoaning their woes no matter how much smiting they were doing. Some things never change.

They have three propaganda “news” networks at this time compared to 0 for Dems (not to mention a plague of radio hosts also basically 0 for Dems). It’s completely asymmetrical. Podcasts are closer to parity and we win Late Night Talkshows but that’s it.
I still think it was basically the result of the dumbest, most normal reason you could think of - inflation fatigue. Other than the hardcore base no one was hoping for whatever it is this administration is trying to accomplish.
