If the ACC wants to accelerate their own destruction, this is a great idea
This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.

I think the main thing this tells us is executives do very little of what would be legible as "work" to employees
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Feel like I'm losing my mind here. Hey Ole Miss, you'd better let your more powerful rival's head coach do whatever he wants in your building every day until the portal opens

If Texas doesn't get in it'll be exhibit 1-A in the case against scheduling marquee nonconference games
Sorry, but Texas shouldn’t be in the playoff. Can’t lost to that Florida team and make it unless it’s your only loss.

Kind of gross how hard ESPN is pushing that they might could be included.

The 3 active coaches who have won (FBS) natties are in their first ever head coaching jobs (Dabo, Kirby, Day)
Here’s the thing: I would rather LSU pay less for a football coach moving up to get their shot, to build a program, to leave a legacy.

I fear that is not what my school is right now. Maybe we’ll learn eventually, but it doesn’t seem like we’re learning that this cycle.

Hell yeah
Approaching dangerous levels of midwestern today. Walked the dog at our neighborhood park and saw a gaggle of dads, doing a thanksgiving turkey bowl…running the ball. Off tackle again and again.

If these events happened in a vacuum, sure. But the fact that two major publications exonerated her, then she got a book deal and a cushy job at a major outlet makes it inexorably a Journalism Story.

Rare L here from a clearly exhausted person I respect and admire
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

I need someone to put together a list of everyone who came to her defense, so I can make sure never to take anything they say seriously again
I hope that this doesn't just become about "Nuzzi is bad" but fosters a wider recognition that our culture of political journalism that didn't just tolerate her, but promoted and celebrated her even after the allegations were known, is rotten to the core and has been for a long time.
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit
