The first spell that was ever cast in my very first playtest session of Diabolic Dialect was ‘BONES ON THE OUTSIDE!’

Pretty horrific, I know. But man what a tone-setter!

Check out the pre-launch and the full campaign coming next week!

Back it or don't, but PLEASE watch the video trailer five times, I worked very hard on it 🙏✌️
It's 968 AC.
An artificial sun shines down upon Doskvol. Autopods cruise down rows of peaceful, prosperous houses. Beneath it all, strange actors and twisted conspiracies work their shadowy agendas.

Hot take:

In fantasy games, big pantheons where there's a deity for every type of character morality and it's assumed you'll go for yours?

That sucks the juice out of defining characters as sinners, apostate, of walking away from faith and returning to it; if faith is easy pablum, it has no spice.

The Pitt got greenlit for a season 3, out next February, and the announcement has very funny comment from HBO chairman Casey Bloys that’s like “yeah, turns out if you just make a TV show like how we used to make TV shows you can have a 15+ episode season every year 🤷‍♂️”

Also: I’m convinced whenever you see people come out of nowhere and have massive success in this industry, it’s because they had a trust fund, or they’re parachuting in from some other industry, or their dad is a marketing exec or something. Like, that’s almost *always* the case.

Great thread that emphasizes why it's so important to be extra loud when supporting BIPOC creators.
<waves to all my BIPOC TTRPG designers>
Hello!

You may think you are feeling impostor syndrome, but did you stop to consider it may actually be a reaction to being silently (or loudly ) invalidated in society and in the TTRPG community?

They feel similar, but they arent the same thing.

Great advice
When GMing, make your world feel more authentic by putting animals in it. In a battle, it's not just warriors that are dying—it's horses. Afterwards, crows and dogs are there to feed on the carrion—maybe even carrion crawlers.

Animals live with us in every capacity. Enrich your world with them.

"This story doesn't need a sandworm"

This is almost always wrong. Arguably, EVERY story benefits from adding a huge subterranean worm with quasi-mystical or semi-supernatural powers, or equivalent (similar to Moby Dick).

Obviously the bigger the worm, the more literary quality it adds.
