Reform UK’s Robert Jenrick is on GB NEWS talking about the Local Elections that were postponed.

“We always wanted them to go ahead” he’s said.

He’s only been a Reform UK MP for a month.

Trump is building concentration camps that can hold millions. Once he's deported all the undocumented foreingers, who is he going to put into the camps? You better figure that out because you can be damned sure he's not going to let them be empty.

Access to public services and cultural amenities is increasingly taking on a political dimension - being associated with support for the radical right. This piece reminds me of the excellent work by @dianebolet.bsky.social on the link between local pub closures and support for UKIP.
My brother wanted a London pub crawl. The result? My new Substack post: "Britain Lost 14,000 Third Places. They were Called Pubs. Is Your Local Next?" How private equity reshaped the local, which pubs are most at risk and most importantly what to do about it.

Researchers have found that 6 of 10 abortion restrictions — bans on Medicaid funding for abortion, mandated waiting periods, 2nd-trimester abortion bans, ACA marketplace insurance coverage bans, biased counseling laws, and ultrasound requirements — were linked to higher rates of maternal mortality.
Laws restricting abortions linked to rise in 'abhorrently high' maternal mortality rates

Americans, is there no red line?

First, we have kids practicing shooter drills. Then survivors of mass school shootings.

Now we have them doing drills at school to escape from our own government ICE agents.

Hundreds of kids are detained in adult concentration camps, separated from their families.

"Do you know why? Its because there is an exodus: those of a situation + a financial position to be fortunate to have a choice"

I cannot stress enough how enjoyable it is to deprive that withered old cunt of your money. Waterstones, Argos, Boots - it is so easy to get whatever you need, and it feels kinda fun, like taking a holiday in 90s Britain
Just ordered a book from my local Waterstones. Click and collect so I’ll get it on way home tonight. As cheap as Amazon. Also bought an instant camera earlier this week from Argos, cheaper than on Amazon. It’s proving very easy not to use the evil billionaire’s website. More of you should try it.
