Without a serious overhaul of pur media on landscape its not really feasible. Social media as ot exists atm is designed to make quick hits of propaganda palatable and explanations of policy positions often are left to only garner a relatively low amount of views. I am not sure how to fix that

Dems in general I feel at least want Americans not to suffer (though plenty of democrats admins have caused suffering to innocent immigrants and foreigners) but usually have conflicting loyalty to donors and lobbyists on what they feel they are allowed to do, ending in deadlock and bad policy.
