Been working on slope rotation and speed today. Honestly its so jank that it would make a Sonic Retro user rip their hair out, but Sega also published a multi million dollar game with similar physics so all is fair I suppose

I think this general technique of rasterizing text to a texture is pretty standard practice when you need dynamic text in 3D space, even before UE5. How easy it is to do really depends on the engine features though.

That slight perf improvement on C/C++ compile times is absolutely worth it for me. No question. Not sure how much better it is for other languages, but compiled languages generally seem to have better build perf on DevDrive partitions.
