The head of security at the Louvre.
That I started trying to address my mental health again.
22. What are you proud of yourself for?
Putting the needs of others ahead of my own needs
21. What is something that is holding you back that you need to let go of?
Still working on figuring that out. I think I’m more understanding of others but I’m less open about me.
20. How has your trauma shaped your relationships with others?
Shut down. Put on headphones and listen to music and write. Game. Just anything to block out what was bothering me or hide (from) it.
19. What coping mechanisms did you develop in response to trauma?
I don’t necessarily feel unsafe but I don’t think I feel secure
18. When was the last time you felt safe?
Absolutely.
17. Do you care about how you are perceived by others?
a. Of course
b. This is what I’m trying to work through in some cases right now and I don’t have the answer yet.
16a. Do you hide parts of yourself from others?

16b. Why do you hide them?
Just hear me out and if I say I need some time for an hour understand it’s not me saying I need to hide it’s just my plea for actual help because I need to recharge
15. How can someone make your day better in regards to your mental health?
How much shit that you don’t think bothers you or affects you ties into everything you’re feeling. Even small and subtle things from childhood are still weighing on you even in seemingly unrelated situations.
14. What have you learned from being in therapy?
My venting was starting to feel like an attack on people I truly and deeply love because I couldn’t navigate all of the noise in my head on my own and neither could they + their struggles.
13. To people who go to therapy, what made you start?
To deal with it because others are able to
12. What is the worst advice you received regarding your mental health?
Been a couple months.
11. When is the last time you truly felt like yourself?
Gaming or as I said to the last question, a walk and some time to myself.
10. What brings you peace when you feel anxious?
Scheduling tbh. Usually one of my ways to be happy is to just go out for a walk for a few hours, sit and people watch and just put some headphones on while sitting in a park or something but I haven’t had that opportunity for nearly 2 months now.
9. What has been the biggest blow to your mental health recently?
Usually an ear to listen
8. When you vent, do you prefer an ear to listen, solutions or both?
I’m still trying to work that out in my current struggles. I can’t seem to find a middle ground.
6. How do you cope with your triggers?
When I’m not even afforded 5 minutes when I try to provide hours for others
For most people I think a blanket answer is societal pressures to be “independent” and “self sufficient” and expected to be able to “be an adult” and just get on with whatever is bothering us. I thought it was toxic masculinity and it may be an extension but it’s definitely not just expected of men
4. What is bad for our mental health that we ignore?
Long before I ever actually sought help.
3. When did you realize that you needed help with your mental health?
Just having anyone else actually help and give a damn
2. What improved your mental health?
You better have the questions loaded and ready @johnkeimespn.bsky.social
