When I hear that russia's concession in this peace process is their promise not to attack further, while in return, Ukraine shall give up lands, ppl, alliances etc, I'd laugh at the striking naivety (?) if it wasn't so tragic.

86,7% of Ukrainians know russia will attack again after a short break.

So you have this government of fascist idiots, chosen for their loyalty to the cause, not their expertise, running the country into the ground. But the press has nothing better to do than sane-wash them "recession is good, actually".

Ahmed al Ahmed, a Lebanese Muslim who owns a Sydney fruit shop, risked his life to disarm one of the Bondi Beach shooters.

His courage gives me hope amidst the horror and darkness. Muslims and Jews are not enemies. Our futures, in the Middle East and beyond, are intrinsically bound.

A true hero.

How many times do we need to point this out?
By appeasing the far right, you do not weaken it. You strengthen it.
While weakening your own position.
There's a vast amount of academic research showing this.
But Labour will not listen.

We're half a decade into studies finding that improving airflow in classrooms will reduce disease transmission enormously, and that bleaching surfaces etc. does very little. And yet nothing changes. Waves of flu and colds wash over schools, and the schools pretend it's an act of God.

Lawmakers Want To Ban VPNs—And They Have No Idea What They’re Doing
Remember when you thought age verification laws couldn't get any worse? Well, lawmakers in Wisconsin, Michigan, and beyond are about to blow you away. It's unfortunately no longer enough to force websites to check your government-issued ID before you can access certain content, because politicians have now discovered that people are using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to protect their privacy and bypass these invasive laws.

Close proximity: RR 1.16
Shared classroom: RR 3.17
Suboptimal air quality: 1.90

So it turns out it’s the massively overpaid execs who could be replaced by AI… who’d have guessed
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.
