Snail walks(?) into a dealership and says, “I want a 240Z, but could you replace the Z with an S?” “Uh, sure,” says the dealer. As the snail speeds away in his new ride, the dealer shakes his head and says, “Look at that S car go…”

I've been here 24 hours, but already with what I've seen, well, I genuinely believe we're going to win. People here are well aware that what happens here impacts the entire country, that it sets the tone for resistance. ICE is angry, ICE is terrified, of how deeply unpopular it is.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

All these politicians act like they would've marched with Dr King if only they'd have been alive for the civil rights movement and they refuse to do anything but fundraise while the ICE and CBP fascists terrorize their communities.

We have to get rid of Jeffries and Schumer. We have to. It’s unendurable that these men are the most prominent Democrats of the moment. They are two of the most broadly undistinguished men I could imagine in politics, zero fire, zero fight, zero zeal, machine politicians with sinecures.

Dunno, maybe live your life in such a way that millions of people aren’t hoping for your imminent death? Just an idea.
Let tonight be a lesson to all of us: Make sure you have established your own, and are aware of your loved ones', advance directives.

Do you want to be awakened from your slumber when It Happens? Or do you want to find out when you awake naturally and unlock your phone? Let your loved ones know.

Literally LEAVING the country. Isn’t that what they want?! What are we doing here?
New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

Fuck body cams, the masks are the first thing that needs to go. Agents of the state working with the American public should be clearly identifiable. Local cops don’t get to mask.

-restricts ICE to spending $3.8 billion of its annual budget
on detention as opposed to being able to spend $10 billion
-$20 million that must be used for body cameras 1/

I think there is some information in there that isn't familiar to a lot of people. Including that the US is currently holding three times as many people in immigration detention as were detained in the entire Nazi concentration camp system in spring 1939—six years into the Third Reich.

I share Dusty’s view that polarization (i.e., differing political views) are not the problem. The problem is that we’re arguing based on completely different realities shaped by the information spaces we inhabit.
