It’s been revealed that the NZ govt is doing a deal with Trump to give the US access to critical minerals.

This could mean vast strip-mining of the Taranaki seabed for vanadium to build US weapons.

We have to stop them.

Sign the petition, call or write to your MP and look out for more.

I have a bug bear to get off my chest, it's a insult to sex workers to call Melania Trump one, sex work is a reputable service industry with a client/s and provider/s

Melania Trump is a gold digger, she formed relationships with rich men to extract money from them, including the orange sack of shit

I think JuCo deserves a fitting tribute from a colleague so here's an old Bill English quote about her.

The phrasing on their FB post about this is even worse.

It's so bad, so factually wrong it's verging on offical complaint levels.

50.7% think it's too little or about right.

Hideous race baiting BS at the start of the election year.

Labour's Future Fund appears distinct from NZ First's one in many ways. The main one is that Labour is seeding this with NZ money and NZ state assets. Returns are ring fenced and returned back for NZ investment - with a view to long term prosperity, infrastructure, innovation & wealth #nzpol

One day a journo is gonna ask why it’s acceptable to raise taxes on EVERYONE except the top 1-2%. Not today tho. Probably not tomorrow either. But one day. I have hope.
Someone is going to have to pay to keep the country's finances in order, says Treasury, and since it obviously can't be landlords or tobacco companies or the wealthy, we're afraid it's going to have to be you.

The population of the Gaza Strip was 2.2 million.

One out of every three people in Gaza has been murdered for the simple crime of where they were born and what their religion is.

One out of every three.

One. Out. Of. Every. Three.

And the deaths pile up every single day.

I am so happy for Charlie Kirk. We should all be so lucky as to die for something we believe in. He dedicated hours, day, months of his life to saying that the cost of believing in the second amendment was that people were murdered by firearms.
How amazing for him that he got to make that sacrifice.

Minister responsible for wasting $671mill public money & getting NO ferries says what?!

She should be laughed out of office before NZ incurs any more debt from her chaotic coalition.

Finance Minister Nicola Willis accuses Labour of reckless approach to spending.

Again $671m for ZERO outcome.

That is MORE than the TOTAL vote Education budget for 2025
Numbers matter:
Govt: 'final settlement' for cancelling the IRex ferries from Hyundai is $144m.
KiwiRail: total cost of settlement is actually $222m (incl deposit and part settlement)
+
Total cost of abandoned iRex is $671m (incl land-based costs, project mgmt, wind down)

is there any other time in NZ history when an MP would've *got away with that*?
