well, that's another Budget come and gone, without any attempt to stop multi-millionaires offshoring their assets, disinvesting in nuclear weapons or taxing the royal family a penny.

brace yourselves. tomorrow 4,327 over-caffeinated right-wing nerds with calculators will crowd the airwaves telling us in nineteen different ways why the Budget is utterly, utterly dreadful, so all the rich people will be moving to Dubai tomorrow.

but Brexit was fab and was not their fault anyway.

X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

Professor John Robertson OBA I’m grateful to @amaccj for reminding me of this and for the link to the source. When the final assessment is made, we need to set the scene with these facts:…

No-one is perfect but there is no doubt that the delaying of a ‘shutdown’ decision by WM cost so many people dearly. The Scottish Gov’t could not order a shutdown without the financial offset of a furlough scheme - and that was impossible to fund as HR cannot run up a deficit.
Awful memories.

It's all well and good saying there should have been a four nations approach.
But what the tap dancing fuck did you expect the devolved nations to do when the UK specifically chose not have a 4 nations approach by refusing to use rhe civil contingencies act and wanted to "let the bodies pile high?"

hearing the commentariat & MSM using the publication of the Covid Report as another opportunity to castigate Nicola Sturgeon.
this is a travesty. she was a hero, relentlessly toiling with the LIMITED POWERS of Scotgov to mitigate the self-absorbed calamity that was Boris Johnson's so-called govt.

on receiving the news that the Covid Report was very damning of Boris Johnson's narcissistic, vacillating laziness & misogyny, LBC's Andrew Marr did the only thing he could:

he had Nadine Dorries on to refute these findings and tell all the listeners what an outstanding moral hero Boris really is.
