Is Donald Trump putting his thumb on the scale for Paramount-Skydance CEO David Ellison in this bidding war?

Perhaps because of Paramount's $16 MILLION donation to Trump's Presidential Library?

This reeks of corruption.

The article also never interrogates the *incredibly* bad judgement of this woman who entered a relationship with not only a professional source but a known liar and crank whose life’s work is getting kids killed. It’s all told from her perspective, like he’s just some work crush that went sideways.
‘The *mutual* infatuation that consumed *her*. Either there is some bizarre misunderstanding as to what the word ‘mutual’ means, or that shift from plural to singular is intended to allow Nuzzi to impose her narrative by elision.

The piece quotes Kara Swisher — later identified as a friend of Nuzzi's — saying her piece about Biden's age was "the best political reporting out there."

But it wasn't! It came out two weeks after the debate and is just a bunch of anonymous quotes from insiders. Replacement-level stuff.

Yeah it’s doing the NYT thing where the writer wants you to read between the lines to discover his quietly devastating critique but:

a) that is obnoxious, say what you mean
b) it accepts as facts numerous things of which there’s no evidence, including that she is a good journalist
Eg, there is no good reason to go outside the book to treat as declarative fact what she said in an interview when we already know she contemporaneously lied to her editor and concealed from the public both the existence and details of her liaison.

i know we won't, but we have got to understand that a keystone of the republican project is to both categorize whole classes of people as criminal to justify locking them up, or to make them so broken and desperate that lawbreaking is all but certain to happen.

I want to make a joke that Vance being a Yale graduate will of course hate Harvard...

But come on... he's an Ivy League grad.

Is this just another case of a guy having made it through now wanting to kick the ladder so no one else can make it?
