“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

They have properly messed it up, mind. I voted Labour last time around, obvs. Why they lurched to the right, chasing the Reform mob who are never going to vote for them, I don’t know. Instead they’re just leaking votes from their core base on the left, like mine
Labour were broken a long time ago.

Time to replace them with a party that actually represents everyone - not just the billionaires.

A party that rejects Reform - rather than copies them.

Time to make hope normal again.

We were sold AI on the basis it was going to cure cancer, solve climate change and advance our lives. Instead all it does is produce social media slop and put ordinary people out of work. I think we're entitled to feel a lot more pissed off than we currently seem to.

As a public servant, I write weekly notes to let people see what I do.

Last week, while in Paris, I took the opportunity to exchange ideas on assessing service quality & measuring user experience with @oecdgovernance.bsky.social colleagues.

I also ran a meetup and helped with accessibility checks.

Might not be that niche though.

5 ways to use emojis accessibly:

1. Don't use them as bullet points
2. Stick to one or two per post
3. Don’t replace words with emojis
4. Use emojis that work well on light/dark backgrounds
