/3 Some people are convinced that it’s equally likely that Trump will, for instance, invoke the Insurrection Act and declare all midterm elections cancelled, or equally likely those things will work.

This is commonly an emotional and performative stance rather than a fact-based one.

And believe me, as a college women’s soccer coach for 20+ years, that player is entirely hypothetical. I have never seen a cis male on the field, ever. It’s a made-up moral panic that they knew bigots would fall for.

TERFs discovering this post: "let me explain the rationale for my bigotry I believe exonerates me" lol yeah that's what I'm talking about.
If you have “sincere concerns” about trans athletes in sports, all it means is that you have given yourself a rationale for your bigotry that you sincerely believe exonerates you for aligning to a far-right tactic for marginalization and exclusion.

remember, a college student who gets an F because she wrote "because Jesus says so" in an essay she didn't do any reading for is tyranny but a dean losing her new job because of her beliefs is freedom. what are you not getting about this.
The University of Arkansas's law school just withdrew the appointment of its new dean six days after hiring her because conservative politicians complained that she filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court in support of transgender students

It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

The House already passed four constitutional amendments on Day 1:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

Next: Senate.
