Chris Person takes a look at Horses, "the indie game that is too scandalous for either Valve or Epic, is only beyond the pale if you're not familiar with any other art form" (quoted from the article blurb).

I HAD A FEELING, FIND THIS REALLY FUNNY BECAUSE I LEGIT JUST LEFT TWITTER YESTERDAY!

NO WONDER MY FOLLOWING WAS SO DEAD 🫩
I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.

Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

foone's being hilarious as always, of course, but I think there's a serious issue we need to have a wider discussion about.

because art is a depiction of the human experience. a lot of these topics, while uncomfortable, are very much part of being human. and if games are art, then...
here's the solution to the "video games can't be about dark/sexual topics" problem: books! you know how books can have all kinds of horrible things in them?

we bring back that early-CRPG thing where games came with a book and the video game tells you to read stuff out of the book at certain times

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

Very happy to play a small part in getting this on the site. Seraphina wrote a really moving essay about the risk, safety, play, and what really matters.

It's a really powerful piece, please do read. Made me think about how I play games and what makes me scared or nervous when I play them.
"What do we risk when we play?"

Contributor @seraphimseraphina.bsky.social interrogates the path of her life through a joyfully violent larp that radically reframes safety and risk.
